Find a spot where you can see a good foodsource with binoculars from a good distance away. I like towatch the edges of alfalfa fields the last hour before dark. Iprefer to bring a stool or chair and sit on a fence line towatch the field. Once you start to see deer, pay close attentionto where they are coming out.
